Located along the National Route 145, also called the Romantic Highway, the park is managed by a Numata stone materials company. It took six years (from 1987 to 1993) to build a 100,000-square meter park by moving the old castle from Scotland to Gunma. It's the first construction project of its kind in Japan. An authorized NPO in Tokyo has certified the park as a sacred place for couples. Easy access from the Tokyo metropolitan area makes the park a popular place for wedding ceremonies, live performances, and locations for films and TV drama shows.
The park offers attractions like a world library and a showcase of dinosaur fossils, old stones, and minerals. Other attractions include the Santa Museum, wedding dress collections, where ladies can wear wedding dresses on a trial basis, Teddy's House, a jewelry collection, the lovers' fountain, and a stones shop.
Nearby sightseeing spots are Takayama Onsen, Nakayamabonchi roadside station, and the Gunma Astronomical Observatory (GAO). The area is mountainous, so you can enjoy the autumn leaves there in the coming months. Please visit this unique sightseeing spot of Gunma.
