This month's folk festivals

Fireworks

Fireworks

We cannot enjoy the Summer without fireworks. Many varieties of firework displays have been devised with different shapes, colors, and timing, along with different kinds of background music to create an impressive atmosphere for spectators. Sometime we shout “Tamaya~” to cheer the people who are setting off the fireworks. Let’s go to a fireworks festival with your Yukata(summer kimono for women) or Jinbei(substitute for yukata, usually for men)!!!

Maebashi Fireworks Festival

13,000 fireworks will be set off from the riverside of the Tone River, and the sounds and sights of this display fascinate people every year. The view from dry riverbed of the Tone River in Shikishima Park and the foot of Mt. Akagi-yama are especially beautiful. The bridge will be closed until the fireworks display ends. Because of the street will be car-clogged, we recommend you go by public transportation.
