In Gunma, cherry blossoms begin to bloom around early April. Many people admire beautiful cherry blossoms out in the famous Hanami sites while enjoying Bento meals and drinks with their family, friends or even with co-workers. This is what people call Hanami. Enjoy the beautiful Lake, "Sachi-no-Ike" as well as 200 cherry trees in the park. When night falls, lanterns will be lit along the lake to create a very Japanese atmosphere.

At Kezoji Park during April 1 and May 20, the Kezoji Flower Festival takes place every year. The thousand illuminated cherry blossoms will take you into a fantasy world. Some 5,000 azaleas come into full bloom around Golden Week (during the end of April and beginning of May) to make the park bright with various sorts of colors. You can’t help but hold your breath when looking down at those colorful flowers from the Ferris wheel, "Himawari."
Between April 1st and 7th, all the amusement equipments except for the Athletic House will be operated until 9 pm. Enjoy the panoramic view at night from the Ferris wheel.

Koi Nobori displays began in the Edo Period (17C – 19C) among warrior families. People now hang Koi Nobori on the pole in their garden on May 5th praying their son's success in life.
There is a Chinese folk tale in which no fishes but a carp succeeded in swimming up a fierce falls called “Dragon Gate” to become a dragon. Koi Nobiri originated from this folk tale.
More than 5,000 carp streamers are displyed in 4 sites in Tatebayashi city. The number of 5,283 carp streamers was recorded on the Guinness Book of World Records on May, 2005. Enjoy the spectacular view of the streamers.
