At the Caribbean Beach, you can feel as though you are in a land of perpetual summer all year round. The municipal water park is designed to remind visitors of the Caribbean in many ways. One such design is the trees planted in the area called the "Juice Bar" located on the left side of the "Nami No Pool" (wave pool). This idea came from the Tree Bar which symbolizes the Cornwall Beach of the Montego Bay in Jamaica. The Tree Bar appeared in the movie, "Cocktail", so you may have seen it.
Behind the Juice Bar, there is a stepped cascade called "the Dunn's River Falls", and it is made in the image of a well-known Jamaican tourist attraction. The Dunn's River Falls is famous for the legend that if a couple climbs the falls and is able to reach the top, the couple will be successful in their love. The one in Kiryu may not measure up to it in scale, but it will certainly give you some fun. How about trying it for yourself?
Another thing that may remind you of the Caribbean is the colors of the interior design of the water park. Used here are marine blue for the Caribbean Ocean and pastel pink for Nassau town (the capital of the Bahamas) and the sandy beach of the Eleuthera Island in the Bahamas, among other colors.
The water park opens at 10:00 a.m. Children and families are the main visitors in the morning. On holidays, it attracts a great many visitors, both from within and outside of Gunma. From 7:00 p.m. and onward, young men and women gather at the water park after work. Many of them come here for the specific purpose of riding on the big waves created at the "Nami No Pool" that starts at 7:30 p.m. Young men and women enjoy body-boarding on the big waves. (Please note that you cannot bring your own body-board, but you can rent one on the premises for a fee. No fins are allowed, either.) The pool closes at 9:00 p.m.
Other rules of the indoor heated water amusement park:

Children who are three years old or under and who wear diapers cannot go into the water park. Children who are in 2nd grade of elementary school or under must be accompanied by a guardian at all times.
