Den-en Plaza Kawaba opened on April 1, 1993 and has been the center of business, information, and interchange activities in Kawaba ever since. Kawaba has been active in promoting agricultural tourism as part of its growth strategy.

After enjoying a good meal, you can stroll around the large premises of Den-en Plaza Kawaba. There is a gigantic slide children will love. All-you-can-eat blueberries are offered in July and August. Local farmers sell their fresh fruits and vegetables at the Farmers Market. This is a place where both children and adults can have a good time.

For those who would like to stay overnight, there is a hotel within walking distance called Hotel SL. On the hotel premises, you can enjoy an SL ride of the shortest distance in the world. The SL was active until some 13 years ago in Hokkaido, Japan. In the park nearby, you can enjoy playing in a stream as you watch freshwater fish swim. What an ideal place to spend a hot summer day!
